David Shows - President
Dr. David Shows is the Chair of the Blue Ridge Community Theater and has enjoyed acting for 50 years, appearing in community productions including Dr. Stewart in the 2025 edition of Horn in the West, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Annie, No Time for Sergeants, and played in ballets including playing Rothbart in Swan Lake and Drosselmeyer in The Nutcracker. He has also acted in and directed the radio plays "The War of the Worlds" and "Dracula". When not in the theatre he is a Professor of Marketing at Appalachian State.
Emma Goodman
Emma Goodman, newly added Board Member at Large, brings experience in both military service and the arts. She has performed for the past three seasons in Horn in the West and was the “Norrator” in Mutz‑Mag: An Appalachian Tale. Emma is passionate about supporting Boone’s arts community and looks forward to contributing to this organization.
Kenzie Eller
Kenzie Eller is a student at App State studying Rhetoric & Technical Writing and minoring in Theatre. She intends to go into non-profit work following graduation. She has performed in App State Playcrafter's productions, portrayed Perkins in "The Hound of Baskervilles," Mary in "Horn in the West" for the 2025 & 2026 seasons, and Mutz-Mag in SAHA's "Mutz-Mag." She's thrilled to be a part of this organization!
